Today is Mike and my first wedding anniversary. We decided to hold off celebrating until we were in Thailand but we still did a couple little things. I asked one of our locals to bring in a flower from outside. I asked her to bring in a rose and she brought in a carnation which she called a rose. Oh well! :) It was still a fresh, red flower and that is hard to come by around here! I also wore the skirt and sandals that Mike got me for my birthday and Mike got me a card. Since I NEVER dress up, it was amusing watching everyone do double takes when they saw me in a skirt. The sandals he bought have pretty high heels (easily more than 4 inches) so it was fun learning how to walk again. It's been so long since I've worn any!
We're going to go to the local restaurant again tonight. It seems like we're going to make it a weekly tradition. It's just nice to get away. Jason won't be able to join us because he's playing in the volley ball tournament. I decided not to partake in that this year. Jason's team didn't practice at all so I'm wondering how well they'll fair. :)
Iris has been trying to sell Katrina to us. It's a very tempting opportunity. She already has us sold to her boss and we'd be hired as a team. It's an ego booster seeing how earnestly she wants us down there. In her own words: "I know talent when I see it and we NEED you guys down here!". She went through the perks and what we'd be doing, etc. I told her we promised Jim that we'd stay at least through May 2007 and she said that was fine but made us promise she'd be the first person we'd contact when we wanted to go elsewhere. :)
Well, it's time to head back to our rooms. Have a great day everyone!
