Mike Comes in FIRST!!!

After our conference call yesterday evening, we went running as usual. For the first three laps, Mike and I stayed basically even. As we started the fourth lap, I picked up the pace a bit to try and drop Mike. (This is where he usually burns out and has to break his stride for a bit) Mike was relentless. He stayed right there and halfway through that last lap..I had to stop and walk. I ended up with a side cramp that was just unbearable. I walked for maybe 20 feet and then attempted to catch back up to Mike. I managed to come in just 5 seconds after. Mike: 1.6 miles in 12 minutes 13 seconds. Christina: 1.6 miles in 12 minutes 18 seconds. For the first time in our running history :) Mike came in first. Congratulations! ..haha..Jim improved his time as well. He managed to shave off 30 seconds!... I can definitely tell Mike's running has improved and will surely exceed mine. The four laps has gotten easier but not as easy as I hoped. I think we'll be able to move up to 5 laps shortly but it's going to rough! :)

Pete's back to work today. It started out with him not remembering the password to his computer. Nice one Pete ;) Unfortunately, the only people who could correct this problem, came to work at 8am. So his first two hours back were sitting at his desk studying his computer books. Ah well. He spent the day reviewing the changes we made to his code. You could tell that he didn't particularly like having it adjusted, but what could we do!? I suppose noone really enjoys having their stuff tampered with when they're not around.

Tonight's kickboxing. As predicted, Mike will not be joining us. He has to do his laundry and pack his clothes. I might pack my clothes after class tonight. We might try to get a helo tomorrow and I'd hate to have to pack in a hurry. We'll see. I'd almost rather take the Rhino so I have the time to get ready tomorrow night...at the same time, it really stinks having to get on that bus so late at night.

Today's Trivia Question: What nation was the first to use frogmen in warfare?
