GOOOOOD MORNING!

I guess the most exciting thing that happened lately is what I saw last night! I was walking home from work at my normal time. Mike had decided to stay late to finish up what he was working on. As I started to pass through the gate house I heard shouting and horns blaring. I decided to retract my steps to see what was amiss. There were two huge armored military vehicles charging up behind a silver normal SUV. (looked similar to this only tan) They were screaming at the SUV to move out of the way. The road that they were traveling down consists of one lane going in both directions. There are concrete barriers that line the street making it narrower still. If the SUV were to move out of the way, it would have to be to the opposing traffic lane. Generally, this road has steady traffic although at this time of day it's usually light. I can't recall if there was oncoming traffic when this was happening. It occurred in a matter of seconds. Because the SUV failed to move out of the way immediately, the armored vehicle slammed into the SUV's rear bumper on the driver's side and shoved it into the concrete barrier. The vehicle pushed it hard enough to move the barrier out of the way, put the SUV in it's place (and partially on the barrier), and have enough room to fly by while still within its own lane. As a result of the crash, the SUV was disabled. A moment later, five people dressed in camouflage exited the vehicle a bit dazed and confused. I'm sure it wasn't a pleasant experience! I looked in the incident report to see if I could find out why they were in such a rush, but there wasn't anything. They didn't look like they were protecting anyone either although someone may have been inside.... No clue! Guess I'll never know :P
I lost at poker again last night. Either I'm going to have to change this trend or cut back on my playing! It's getting too expensive! Mike keeps coming home with money in his pocket though - last night he won $70! Not fair. At least he's nice enough to give me my money back :)
Mike didn't get up to go to the gym this morning. He's decided that poker night = no gym next morning. Apparently we stay up too late with poker. This makes it harder for me to get out of bed! :P
