Santa Claus came to visit us at work today! He brought yummy treats to eat! haha. It was a nice surprise to hear the jolly old man "ho, ho"ing through the building. Today was Iris' last day so we had a few gifts for her. General McCoy stopped by to thank her for her contribution to the program. She recieved a framed Certificate of Appreciation and a coin. Mike also recieved a coin for his work on MINSTCI! Several of us chipped in to have a necklace made for Iris. We designed a gold penant with her name on it. The original idea was to have it in Arabic however, the jeweler felt it would look better in English. :P That's ok. It turned out nice either way and Iris seemed to love it. Mike had to run Bill to the Rhino last night and he has to take Iris and Karen to the Rhino tonight. That's two very late nights for him so I anticipate him being very grouchy tomorrow. He doesn't deal well with out sleep. PLUS, he's quitting smoking and is on his last pack. Double grouchy. ;) Today's work was basically just macros. I felt like I was almost done with this one for the SIGIR but as I started this last step, I'm realizing it may be more work than I thought. We'll see tomorrow. I don't think I'll work on it much more tonight. I have the macro running right now in the background as a test, so I have to wait for that to complete anyway.

Well, hope everyone has a happy Monday! :D Only 5 Days till Christmas!
