Hope everyone had a MERRY Christmas ;) It never really seemed like Christmas here. We spent the morning working and took the afternoon off. We played some games, watched a movie, and openned presents. The phones were unavailable last night due to the high volume of calls so we couldn't even call to wish our family back home a Merry Christmas. That's alright. At least Mike and I had each other!
Mike got me a pretty Tiffany Ring for Christmas and I got him a video game, controller, iPod speakers that can be used with other electronic devices, and a 6-in-1 game set (Chess, Badgammon, etc.). Unfortunately, neither of our laptops meet the minimum requirements to play the game so half of his gifts will sit in a box until we go home...or he gets a laptop that can play it. :S We're hoping that he'll inherit Jason's company laptop when he goes home because Jason plans to purchase a new personal one. Fingers crossed! My mom sent us a huge box of chocolates (12 lbs) and several tins full of homemade cookies...jerky from my brother... We recieved the Constitution of the United States, a book on Texas Holdem, and the History of the 21st Century from Mike's Grandma...some hoodies from Mike's other Grandma...and a really nice Christmas blanket from his mom. Everyone within our company recieved a gift from two of the locals we work with too. I thought it was very thoughtful of them to think of us. They gave everyone a traditional scarf that it seems EVERYONE wears here. Jason took a picture of Mike trying one on. :) It was a nice Christmas ;) Thank you everyone!!! :)
My friend Pete finally made it in early Christmas Morning. He's been very motivated to get started. He certainly hasn't changed - just as goofy as he used to be. I think the first thing he did was act like a ghost in front of his superiors...(yeesh). :) Good thing I have confidence in his ability to do coding! haha. He seems to be a gym freak now so I'll have a gym buddy if I want one. He even got up at 4am this morning to join me. That's impressive. We'll see if he keeps it up. Well, my macro should be just about done, so I'm going to get back to it. Ttyl!
