The day went VERY quickly today! The SIGIR is here again, so I started that and Pete managed to rewrite a macro I had in Ruby and now it does as expected in 2 seconds instead of 2 minutes AND there aren't any errors. My macro completed most of the job but there were some exceptions it didn't catch..so I just had it point it out so I could correct them quick. So yay Pete! Nice job. Pete's also invited me to work on database user interface with him tomorrow. It's nothing I've ever worked on so It'll be another new experience for me in the programming world.

Mmm..we went to a little party tonight celebrating a military promotion. They had a huge assortment of Iraqi food. It was all very delicious. I did my best to eat light because going to kickboxing on a full stomache is not wise. Twenty minutes in you'll be running to the bathroom! I also changed out the music in my iPod. I use it when I work out in the morning and I've been getting a little sick of the music I had in there. I was trying to get a little more country in it but there isn't much available here. Too bad I don't have my CDs...life goes on.

Mike's been talking to Tim a lot about Thailand and it's getting him very excited about our trip. It turns out golfing is only $5 for an 18 hole course. I might even have to try it out at that cost. :) haha.
