There's something about Friday's that Microsoft Excel just doesn't like on my computer. Last Friday I had the same issue - where Excel would crash for no apparent reason. I have not been performing any taxing tasks that would justify a failure so I don't know what the deal is.. I do know, that it's annoying.
Tonight is the St. Louis Brew Fest. Mike's friend, Nick, is joining us for the weekend. I, being the loving wife that I am, have offered to play designated driver. I will be dropping them off before and picking them up after, the four hour window they selected for the event. I'm not the biggest fan of beer (much more of a wine person) so I didn't see a point in paying the entrance fee when I wouldn't be participating anyway.
Speaking of wine, as part of my effort to lose the weight I've gained since leaving Baghdad, I gave up wine during the week. I also ended up giving up soda because Mike chose it as his main source of weight gain, and decided no soda during the week was his challenge... that meant we couldn't store any in the house either. So far, I've lost three pounds! Amazing how much of an impact one soda and one glass (or two) of wine a day will make!
My husband and I WERE contractors in Iraq supporting the reconstruction effort. We’re still on the program, but now from the good ol’ USA. We continue to keep this blog updated on a regular basis for our family and friends. Welcome!
