My family has decided to visit us this weekend....and so the cleaning begins. :) Can't let Mom see an un-kept apartment! That would just make the weekend start on the wrong foot ;)
The think I like about welcoming friends is that it gives us an excuse to focus on the touristy things. Not that we can't go to the museums, zoos, attractions, etc. on our own...but those are usually the locations that our visitors want to see..so why not make it a fun new experience for all of us? ;)
I've asked my little brother to help us plan the weekend. Potentials for the itinerary include the City Museum, the Gateway Arch, the Magic House, the Zoo, the Science Center, Skyzone, and the shooting range. My votes are the shooting range (gotta have that Father-in-law vs. Son-in-law shoot-off), the City Museum, and Skyzone (wall to wall trampolines! Who wouldn't want to participate in that!?) It looks like my Mom is interested in joining me at the gym too so I won't miss out on my usual workout (good thing - good restaurant food also comes with visitors!).
We went golfing this past weekend and I managed to lose four balls on a nine hole course. The water was vicious..and one I hit it so well I couldn't spot where it landed. ;) Suppose I'll have to go shopping so I have a ready supply of pink ones. ;)
My husband and I WERE contractors in Iraq supporting the reconstruction effort. We’re still on the program, but now from the good ol’ USA. We continue to keep this blog updated on a regular basis for our family and friends. Welcome!
