We drove to Volunteer Country over the weekend. It was a pretty scenic drive! Much better than that to Wisconsin :)
Mike's family treated us to a relaxing weekend of good food and golfing. :) We brought our dog, Maisey, with us. The introduction of her to the household provided plenty of entertainment as the resident pups tried to figure out what to make of her. It was fun to watch two russell terriers in action (one Jack and one Parsons)
We hit the course Saturday for a bit of golfing. Mike's Step-Dad, Lee, taught me a few tricks on the course that will hopefully improve my game. I feel like I'm getting better...just have to keep practicing. ;)
We also had a chance to enjoy lunch with a couple college friends from Wisconsin who had since moved to Knoxville. After thinking about it, I was surprised to find a few more that also live in the area including my Baghdad yoga instructor! Too bad she's still overseas. :P
As we were about to head home, Lee gave me the beautiful leather coat that he lent me during my previous visit. ;) Fits me perfectly! Thank you! :) :)
My husband and I WERE contractors in Iraq supporting the reconstruction effort. We’re still on the program, but now from the good ol’ USA. We continue to keep this blog updated on a regular basis for our family and friends. Welcome!
