It seems the weekend was cruel to both of us! Mike endured the long drive to Wisconsin to spend some time with the boys. Along the way, he stopped to pick up the gun he had built through a family friend and gunsmith in Wisconsin. The effort of sighting in the gun left him battered and bruised in the shoulder (it was a rifle)... despite the pain, he managed to accomplish his goal and came home with a gun capable of consistently hitting its mark. ;) Other activities of the weekend included fishing and golfing (sounds rough right?)
My excitement of the weekend occurred during a motorcycle ride to the gym. I was dressed waist up for yoga (fitness top with built in sports bra) with my motorcycle jacket half way zipped for some airy protection. The 'half way' turned into a mistake when a wasp/hornet slammed into my chest and fought back against the skin contained within the sports bra top. I managed to kill the evil creature by the time I pulled into a gas station but not early enough to prevent significant swelling...alll over. I arrived at the gym with blochy skin and swelling ears. The swelling progressed to my face, closing my eyes and stretching my face. My hands and wrists also became extremely itchy, making yoga a very uncomfortabl activity. I only continued because having been stung in the past, I knew I wasn't on the verge of dying...and fortunately, the swelling had already started to subside by the end of our yoga practice. I made a quick exit in hopes of minimizing gawkers and returned home to hide in the house. I was happy to note that the swelling had dissapated enough by the afternoon to make my scheduled evening tee time... I did not play well. lol.
Life continues.
