I completely forgot to mention that Nick, Mike, and I went fishing while we were in Chiangmai! We hired a local fisherman to take us to a lake, provide all the gear, etc. It was actually a lot of fun! We were fishing for catfish and throwing back anything we caught. They were actually quite large so bringing them in was a challenge! My largest fish caught was 15 kilos, Mikes was 26 kilos, and poor Nick brought in 8 kilos as his highest. Fortunately for him, I did manage to bring in the smallest fish at 4 kilos. One humorous point was when I hooked a fish, started reeling it in, and then the line broke and my fish got away! The line broke above the bobber so we watched the bobber move along the water with the fish. Wouldn't you know it, the next fish caught was that same fish by Mike and he managed to bring in the fish with both hooks and both bobbers :) haha. I say we caught it together (since I obviously tired it out)
Anyway - back to Baghdad! I managed to upload MOST of the photos today! (Phew!) It took a long time but I did it. I say most because I decided to take out many that were either really similar to others, or were blurry, etc. I posted three cameras - Nick and mine under my photo album and Monica's under her photo album so be sure to check out both links!
It's been a lot of catching up today with work plus Jim has tasked Mike and I with a few other 'hot' jobs. It's been fun trying to juggle all of them at once. I am also quite sore today. I went to kickboxing last night and managed to get up for the gym this morning. I'd say from the waist down I'm barely mobile. I'm even considering skipping kickboxing this evening. It's usually the second day that hits you the worst, and that's tomorrow! Eek. I have to figure out a managable workout schedule so I don't get burnt out. I think I over did it a bit just before R&R.
Speaking of R&R. Mike and I have a new idea for our next one. We are seriously considering going to Scotland OR perhaps following the De Vinci Code (therefore Paris and London) for that week or so before or after we go home. We'll have to look into it. :)
I better get back to work. Don't forget to check out those pictures!
