Back in the USA

A lot has happened in the last few days..more than I really feel like going into detail at the moment but I'll give you the synopsis.

Our travels were delay and cancellation free. No surprise there. :) We didn't have any exciting plans hanging in the balance! Since our arrival, it seems like we've been non-stop on the go. We arrived mid-afternoon on Monday in Milwaukee. Spent the remainder of the day planning the upcoming. We had hoped our new cellphones would be ready and waiting when we arrived but the carrier decided to make things difficult. Instead, we made signing contracts for our new plans the first priority upon our arrival in St. Louis. We drove down to our new home on Tuesday morning. It was a dreary six hour drive down through fog and rain. St. Louis teased us with a balmy 79 degrees only to crush later with crappy weather and cold temps the remainder of our stay. Despite our troubles online and over the phone with our initial attempt, we were able to set up phones pretty easily with St. Louis numbers and Wisconsin billing addresses. We finished off the evening browsing the mall, getting Mike a haircut, and dining at the hotel restaurant.

Wednesday was dedicated to apartment hunting. We had quite a few on our list. Fortunately, many of them were eliminated immediately upon arrival. It's hard to walk in when the management doesn't take good care of the outside! We did find a decent place by the end of the day, which was one day quicker than originally planned. Nothing wrong with getting done early! We enjoyed dinner with our boss, signed the necessary paperwork the next morning, and headed back to Wisconsin. Oi!
