I'm back!

I figured I better get back into the rhythm of posting...plenty has happened since my last post...let's see if I can summarize!

Mike and I have started back at work. We are located in different offices which is nice. Mike happens to work right around the corner from where we live and I have a 15 minute commute. It took me a few trips, but I think I've found the ideal route that minimizes the delay due by traffic congestion.

I think the 'moving in' phase will never end. We do have most of our stuff in their new home but we've lost our motivation for the stragglers... I think we'll get to them when their contents are needed..who knows, :) maybe we'll move them back to storage without being opened. Lol.

I've found a potential gym to dedicate my workout time to. It appealed to me because (1) there are two locations in the area, one near our apartment and one near our work; (2) it offers a huge variety of group instruction which I have obviously gotten into during the last few years, including yoga; (3) it's very clean and offers a lot of amenities that gyms don't typically offer including toiletries. I've attended a few classes so far. In general, I guess I'm not hugely impressed. During my first yoga session, I had to demonstrate a few pose sfor the class. The instructor didn't demonstrate any of the poses. Instead, she just talked us through the routine. None of the instructors in any of the classes I've tried has completed the entire class although they have participated more than that first instructor. Regardless, I haven't given up on the gym. I am not tied down to a contract so if I do decide that it's not worth it, I will not hesitate to uproot....and I'm still tempted to join a yoga center.... we'll see.

We've moved my cat, Bacardi, into the new apartment. I think he is adjusting. His latest behavior suggests he misses my mom since he is a-l-w-a-y-s craving attention. My mom is home much of the day and there were two, for a while three, other kitties to entertain him at my parent's home....now he is alone in the house while Mike and I are at work and the apartment is much smaller than the house. He won't be alone for much longer since we plan to bring our dog down next weekend!

The weather in St. Louis has proved to be pleasant most days. It motivated me to make a phone call and get my motorcycle up to par for riding. A good friend picked it up from Grandma's and has since been draining all the old fluids, cleaning the chain, replacing the filters and tires, and getting it ready for me. I should be able to bring it down next weekend.... I can't wait!

One discovery we did make upon our return was that the glasses we purchased on Murano Island in Italy were not the ones that were shipped to my parent's house. I will have the pleasure of phoning them this evening to try to get it corrected - with minimal cost to us...we've already spent plenty on them!

I think this is long enough for one day!
