It's a two coffee day.

Mike and I were able to spend Easter weekend with the family.  We drove north on Saturday and spent the afternoon finalizing our taxes and enjoying dinner with family.  Afterward, we parted ways as Mike joined the boys at a Bucks game and I spent quality time with Mom playing Easter Bunny.   I think I had more fun hiding the eggs than my little brother did finding them....seems he has gotten a little too old to believe...

We drove further north to have lunch with more family on Easter Sunday.  The Easter Egg Hunt was a little more fun since we had younger participants.  Lunch was served a little later than originally anticipated which put us on the road behind schedule.  No big deal except that it meant a late night arrival in St. Louis... which also would not be a big deal, except that the weatherman forecast late night showers and of course, this would be one time where the weatherman wasn't wrong.  On our way back,  I picked up the motorcycle and started on the 6 hour, 341 mile long ride on the highway to our apartment.  I made it most of the way before it started raining....the last 60 miles was spent in a downpour.  It was awesome.

Mike followed down an hour behind with Maisey in tow.  Maisey, our dog, was the other major 'pick up' for the weekend.   She had been under the care of our Grandparents for the last four years.  I think they're going to miss her. :)

Fortunately, our cat and dog seemed to remember each other.  It was a relatively peaceful reunion.  You can tell there is a little displeasure in each other's presence but I'm sure that'll pass soon enough. :)
