And the funny thing is they want him back again. Fortunately, our boss has a heart and won't do it to him again if he can help it. lol.
Mike loved his motorcycle and spent the afternoon yesterday, studying the manual, checking out the bike, and reviewing the test material for his instruction permit. If all goes well this afternoon, he'll be legal on the bike (solo, during the day, and without passenger) by this evening. :) I think we'll go to the shop tomorrow to get his safety inspection and maybe some motorcycle apparel (gotta look the look right!?).
I also surprised him with a pie! His family has a secret family recipe that is his favorite. The recipe was passed on to me and this was my first attempt to make it (by myself - I did assist a couple years ago). It turned out good, and tasted right, but apparently I didn't spread the topping on correctly...AND despite the toothpicks meant to prevent this, the aluminum foil I placed on top to protect it smooshed the top of the pie and made it look...smooshed. ;) Oh well, next time. :)
I was looking at baggage regulations today (actually wanted to see what extra fees were associated with checking golf bags)..and I was surprised to see many airlines actually charge for even the first piece of luggage now...AND added charge for golf clubs ranges from $50-$100. You can rent for less than that. Crazy. No thanks!
