Seems like it has been a while since I last posted! I guess that's because I'm used to staring at a computer all weekend and having the opportunity to readily do so ;)

We drove up to Wisconsin to participate in my 10 year High School reunion, celebrate my best friend's birthday, and volunteer at the annual outdoor Fish Fry in my hometown. Two out of three isn't bad! We didn't make it to the reunion...it seemed my closest friends weren't interested in reuniting with those they had lost touch with over the years...so we didn't go. Really, I think it was more a lack of structure. The reunion was advertised as a 'just show up at 7...we'll see you there' event...I guess we hadn't done enough fund raising to support something grander. I didn't see many faces I recognized from my graduating class at the fish fry so I expect we weren't alone. Oh well!

We had cheese cake at our house in celebration of my friend's birthday. ;) There were two candles, one blue and one pink, to represent Mike and Kari....yumm..I looooove cheesecake.

The Fish Day was as usual....lots of people dining on fried fish and chips and drinking beer.. The town puts together the largest parade and fireworks display of the year for that event and hosts a car show and craft fair. It's usually a pretty good time and this year was no exception...even though we worked for most of it.

We were rewarded with golfing bright and early on Sunday. We played best ball so we had our partners to carry us when we weren't performing well. I think both teams faired well. Mike and his buddy Nick beat my Dad and I...:) though I think that was to be expected...one thing that wasn't was the line drive Mike tee'd off into my arm! It hurt! and I don't think the resulting bruise tells the story quite well enough. ;P

I was also able to trade in my girly pink golf bag for a Ping Wisconsin Badger's themed red one. ;) My Dad played a couple rounds of a dice game where the highest roller took home a golf bag...a high score and a few extra losing rounds played by Mike guaranteed him the winning roll. He was generous enough to let me take it home. :)

Mike's Mom's birthday was Sunday ;) And it sounds like she's really excited about the concert tickets we gave her. Should be fun! HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!
