Viva Las Vegas Baby!

We survived Vegas...only a few dollars short.  Both of us had set personal 'caps' which we stayed well within so I would say we did pretty well.

We had nearly two days to spend together before our friend's Kristin & Jim arrived. During that time we gambled, walked the strip, saw Chris Angel, ate, and drank.  Chris Angel was pretty good but much  more of a 'show' than we were hoping for.  If you're familiar with Chris then you expect impossible feats and magic tricks...instead it was mostly interpretive dance done by women dressed like rabbits.  Enjoyable nonetheless.

With Kristin & Jim, in addition to gambling at the area casinos, we tried out some 'famous' restaurants.   The Hard Rock Cafe and Emeril's New Orleans Fish Restaurant did not disappoint our taste buds...yumm...though, don't bother with Emeril's Red Red Wine...After our splendid dinner on our last evening together, Kristin and I went to watch the much lusted after men from Down Under in Australia's Thunder from Down Under.  Considering it's the only show I've attended of that nature (and therefore have nothing to compare it to), I thought it was pretty well done. It was tasteful, amusing, the men were worth laying our eyes on, and who doesn't love listening to Australians speak? :) Gotta love that Aussie accent!

Other highlights of note were a breakfast at Denny's on the strip and a ride on the New York New York roller coaster. Good fun! Now it's time to earn back the money we lost...back to work!
