Philadelphia was the weekend's destination. We traveled to cheer on Army as they battled against Navy in America's sport, Football. The odds were stacked against them so we were prepared for a loss and thrilled when they were winning at halftime. Unfortunately, Navy broke through their strong defense to win but it was a great game till the end...and a good time spent with family.
My sister also gave us a driving tour of the old part of the city to include Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell's residence...we dined at Reading's Market for breakfast and one of the oldest restaurants in the country, City Tavern. We also drowned ourselves in beer and wine and plumped up on hors d'oeuvres and philly cheesesteaks :) so I'll be hitting the gym extra hard this week. lol. There's no such thing as a diet over the holidays...
My husband and I WERE contractors in Iraq supporting the reconstruction effort. We’re still on the program, but now from the good ol’ USA. We continue to keep this blog updated on a regular basis for our family and friends. Welcome!
