Happy 230th Birthday Marines!
I started my day off sleeping in and having a BIG piece of Marine Birthday cake. Mmmmm...mmmm. Intended on going to the gym, however my phone was ringing in the middle of the night and Mike is so hard to wake up! (I know, excuses excuses). It's a holiday today since we're celebrating Veteran's Day a day early. It's Friday tomorrow, which is also our 'weekend', so it was pushed up so they would be separate. Kinda nice, however we worked anyway today, so it really doesn't make a difference. We did come in a half hour late this morning and took a long lunch so we could finish our laundry, so I guess you can say we did take advantage of the holiday! ;)
The phone call I received in the middle of the night was from my mom. She was worried because of the bombs that occurred in Amman. I'm sure everyone has heard about them by now, but if not, they happened at three major hotels. One of the suicide bombers actually managed to walk into a wedding before detonating himself. Can you imagine? I can't believe someone would actually do that! The bride and groom both lost their fathers. Horrible. I'm speechless...
On a better note...No poker tonight (I get to hold onto my $20 for another day! :) haha). Mike and I are going to get a bottle of wine and just enjoy ourselves outside. It'll be nice and relaxing. I intend to get up tomorrow morning to make up for the lack of exercise today. We also have our first football practice tomorrow morning. :) Should be fun!
